Well Hello to everyone!!:)
Wow what a week it has been here in the North up in Mo I Rana! i love it here to so much and there is so much to tell and yet so little time to write! we are so blessed here and we are truly seeing the blessings here in Mo I Rana! everyday has something so interesting that happens weather its waking up and or sheets have frost on them or weather we meet super interesting people or just have a great day with Eldste Johnson! we have been out doing a lot of finding as well this week as in the same as it usually is but there is always something funny that happens! we truly have seen many miracles this week and i am so excited to tell you about them! well ill give you a update on everything else and then get into "The Goods"!
Well here in Mo I Rana i have not seen the sun for over three weeks since ididnt see it for a couple days in Moss and it doesnt help here that we have a mountain to the east where the sun rises and we live right next to it! its like living in American fork where the mountain is right to the east but the sun will not get over it! its still light outside for out 5 hours during the day and then the darkness sets in! i actually kind of like it and its just a crazy new experiance! it does get a little depressing everyonce and awhile when you see pictures and you see sun....hahaha! One thing i forgot to tell everyone is that i got to see the northern lights last week and they were SO SO SO COOL!! just a bright Green across the sky its crazy streams but i havent seent them dance quite yet! it was very cold this past week! it got to -21c out so its not to bad but your feet just get super cold and have to go in every 40 minutes from contacting and so its not so bad afterward! got a little snow like 2cm one day other than that its just cold! We move into our VERY NICE appartment on wednesday and ill send a video home of our appartment that we have now so you can see it haha! its hilarious! No matter the conditions as long as you show the lord you are willing to work he will put everything in place even when its so cold its hard to talk!
So this past week we have expiranced how much we have seen our investigators grow! So last monday was elder Johnsons Birthday and we celebrated it with our two 17 and 18 yr old investigators! we had a blast and just spent all day there and made delicious home made pizza and made a cake and had a great time and tought them a great spiritual lesson! The next day we were at one of the investigators house and he told us his experiance of His protection of the HOLY GHOST! he said it was absolutly incredible! he gets bullied at school and a kid follows him around sometimes and he prayed for strength and also for his enemies( little did he know that was a commandment) and he saw the power of the lord go before him and protect him! he did that twice and in two days and he escaped harms way everytime! he bore is testimony and it was mind blowing my jaw was literally on the floor and i just was over taken by the spirit that was there! he is so excited to beable to have that feeling with him all the time!! as for our other young investigator he is seeing the power of living the commandments and he is seeing the blessings! he wants to be baptized but satan gets in the way everytime and i just hope that he can hold out til he is baptized and watch that feeling disolve away out of his life! they both are so strong and truly prepared by the lord! i am so excited for them both and cant wait to see that day!:)
This week we got to experiance not having any investigators since our main four were busy with school or out of town and it truly is a trial of faith! three days straight of 10 hours of contacting and knocking with not a single teach!! it was Very hard but we pushed through and kept each other entertained with good humor and jokes and stories that lasted hours and it just kept us motivated! we had some funny experiances though one of being truly inspired! So we were going through the Area bok which is not that big....compared to others...i could only imagine californias! but we found a person with an address that was close so as we were finding the building we checked one but it wasnt it but Johnson said lets turn around and knock it and i said i thought so too! ended up with 3 try backs and a guy with a return appointment! Also as we were in there we knocked on a guys door and he slightly opened it and he was on the phone and we said we were sharing mormons bok and he signals his fingers toward the bok and then we gave it to him and then he just slammed the door in our face....i couldnt help but die laughing and with real astonishment and we both laughed! The experiances on your mission truly just make you laugh and wonder what is going through peoples minds sometimes:)
Well this week in Church we had 3 people!! i know its impressive:) although no one really participates as we share the lesson so its kinda sad sometimes but we had a pretty good participation this week!! Eldste Johnson gave a talk on the book of mormon and it was super great and i bore testimony afterwards and that was sacrement haha:) I can only say that i love serving the lord and he test us like crazy to see if we will break or learn from our experiances! in this new ensign or leahona that came out president monson gave a great talk on the ABC`s! NOT the real ABC but just read it!! i would highly recommend it to anyone that is struggling right know! i thought it was a great talk and has helped me when things get hard! i know this church is true and that we have all of christ original church and that we have the sacred keys to administer his church today! i love the Joeseph smith and i am so thankful for all he went through to start this church! in a way he is a modern day Christ! He stood up for what he believed in and showed God and Jesus Christ his love for them and the gospel established by them! i know prayer works! take the challenge Moroni gave to us in Moroni 10; 3-5, if you are struggling with your testimony please put it to the test! i know for myself it will help you and strengthen you! it takes courage to start something but FAITH to finish! i love you all and have a great week!!
